The mission of the RI 4-H Club Foundation is to support the youth programs of the College of the Environment and Life Sciences at the University of Rhode Island (URI). The Foundation funds these programs and provides scholarships, awards, recognition and travel opportunities for the students.
The 4-H has been a leader in youth development, which began on the local level in response to evolving needs for new kinds of educational experiences for youth. From the beginning, the organization offered hands-on learning activities for young people so they might become productive citizens. Youth participating in 4-H activities have opportunities to offer positive contributions to our diverse and changing society.
Please feel free to contact Dr. Portnoy with any questions regarding finding a 4-H group, participating in the programs, etc., or check them out online at Rhode Island 4-H.
