Anna Portnoy, DVM — Chief of Staff
Dr. Portnoy is Chief of Staff at Riverside Animal Hospital. She earned her undergraduate degree from UMass Boston in 1985 and her DVM degree from UPEI Atlantic Veterinary College in Canada in 2007. A Massachusetts native Dr. Portnoy lives on a farm in Rehoboth MA.
Dr. Portnoy studied Traditional Veterinary Chinese Medicine (TCVM) at the Chi University and received her certification in Veterinary Acupuncture in 2016. Her other interests include small ruminant medicine and surgery.
In her spare time, Dr. Portnoy enjoys working on her tractor “ Big Bertha” on the farm , playing music ,traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Courtleigh R. Watson, DVM
Dr. Courtleigh R. Watson completed her undergraduate studies at Clemson University in 2012, majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences before attending Tuskegee University in Alabama to earn her DVM degree in 2016. Her motto is, "Large or small, I love them all!"
After graduating Dr. Watson did a specialty equine internship at Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida. She then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she worked at the Meadows racetrack and at a small animal practice. Dr. Watson is looking forward to incorporating farm calls into her schedule again. She particularly enjoys general medicine, ophthalmology, and surgery.
Nicole Gilmore, DVM
Dr. Nicole Gilmore grew up in Alameda, CA and currently resides in Providence, RI. She received an undergraduate degree from Stanford University, and earned a DVM degree from the University of California, Davis. In addition to small animal medicine and surgery, Dr. Gilmore enjoys working with livestock, especially cows and camelids!
In her free time, Dr. Gilmore loves doing aerial silks, hiking, being on the water, reading, and spending time with her two chinchillas.
