Dr. Courtleigh R. Watson completed her undergraduate studies at Clemson University in 2012, majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences before attending Tuskegee University in Alabama to earn her DVM degree in 2016. Her motto is, "Large or small, I love them all!"
After graduating Dr. Watson did a specialty equine internship at Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida. She then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she worked at the Meadows racetrack and at a small animal practice. Dr. Watson is looking forward to incorporating farm calls into her schedule again. She particularly enjoys general medicine, ophthalmology, and surgery.
Dr. Watson recently relocated to Rhode Island and is looking forward to exploring the state! She loves to travel, is an avid horsewoman, and a self-proclaimed "Vegetarian Foodie in Training." Her furry (and scaly) family members include two horses named, Chynnah & Chaqueta, two dogs named, Carter & Chino, and a Blue-Tongue Skink lizard named, Melman.
